On February 2, St. Gertrude the Great celebrated Catholic Schools Week 2022 by welcoming Archbishop José Gomez who dedicated and blessed the schools brand new building. This building was made possible by a significant donation by Shea Family Charities.

“This building will significantly impact both our school and parish community now and into the future,” said Fr. Rios. “The addition of a brand new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) lab, offers St. Gertrude the Great students an opportunity to achieve their goals and dreams as they move into a competitive and demanding world where these skills are both needed and valued. The addition of new TK (transitional kindergarten), kindergarten and first grade classrooms, which replace modular units, will offer our youngest students a place of permanence as they grow and learn. The new faculty lounge and meeting area offers St. Gertrude the Great staff and faculty a place to gather that the school has never had. So many people dedicated to Catholic education have worked hard to make this building happen. Please join us as we thank them and introduce St. Gertrude the Great families and students to this incredible facility of learning.”
